Hey guys and welcome to my
seventh blog post! There's two days of school and I couldn't be any more
excited! This post will list super fun activities to do in the summer either
alone, with friends, with family or with complete strangers! Let's get started!

Go to the Beach
Going to the beach is
probably the most stereotypical summer activity you could do but that doesn't
make it any less fun. You can go with friends or family and hang out near the
water all day. There’s so many things you can do while you’re there such as
swimming, tanning, playing some beach volleyball, having a barbecue lunch and
more. Personally, going to the beach is one of my favourite summer activities
because I love swimming and being outside all day (plus I really do like tanning).

Have a Bonfire
Bonfires were slowly getting
less and less attention but they have really made a comeback these last few
years. It’s a great activity to do with some friends. Sitting around a fire,
roasting hot dogs and marshmallows and just chatting away is a pretty great way
to spend a summer night. Just make sure you have some bug repellent for those
nights where there are a lot of mosquitos.

Throw a Party
The best time to throw a
party is during the summer. There's so many themes you could choose from like a
pool party or a Hawaiian themed party. My birthday is in July so throwing a
birthday party during the summer is always a cool activity to do. Plan a date
and have a get together with some friends. Make sure you have good music
playing, tasty snacks out for the guest and cool activities planned and the
party will be a hit.

Go on Vacation
Summer is your time off: don’t sit around in your house doing
nothing all day! Summertime is the best time to go on vacation with your family
to places like Europe and Florida. Due to our hectic schedules throughout the
school year, my family doesn't tend to get a lot of vacation opportunities
between the months of September to June so when summer comes along we take full
advantage. Going on camping trips and to a family cottage are great get aways
during the summer. My personal favourite summer vacation remains a trip to
Disney World in Orlando Florida.

Go to an Amusement Park or Carnival
Carnivals and amusement
parks are huge during the summer months. Pick a day and go hang out all
day with some friends at either a local festival or a world known amusement
park. I personally don’t enjoy roller coasters too much but these types of
events always have alternative options like a waterpark, games, live bands and
more so everybody can really enjoy themselves.

There you have it: a list of super fun and enjoyable summer
activities. You have to remember the main goal during the summer is to try and
stay out of the house as much as possible. If you only get 2 months of summer
freedom don’t waste them inside watching movies and laying on the couch all
day. That being said, I hope you all have a great and safe summer.

Until Next Time…
Awesome blogs full of great advice. I loved that crumpled paper example but I have to disagree. Time heals all wounds. I was horribly bullied in grade 7 & 8, and it took a few years to get over that and build up my self-confidence, but I eventually got all the creases out. What changed everything for me was joining a club where I felt I could belong. (I’ll give you one guess as to which club it was.) :)
ReplyDeleteA few issues:
- Spelling / Grammar/ Typos (A few run-ons, ill vs I’ll, there vs their, “take a short walk taking deep breath to calm down”, its vs it’s, s instead of as, “but you don't forget situation like that”, lowercase ‘i', com, Nobodies vs Nobody’s, passed vs paced, etc.)
- Some small formatting problems such as no font changes (bold underline, etc.) on the titles of your last post, or:
“Wash your face: Every morning when you wake up and right before you go to bed
• 9 that's two times a day)”
Overall, a very fun read.
