Blog Introduction

Hi, I'm Allison and welcome to my blog dedicated to giving advice on how to deal with teenage life. This blog will be all about answering questions you, the readers, have about anything that you may have to face in your daily teenage life. This means I will cover topics such as friendships, after school activities, time management, how to deal with bullies and really any other subjects you would like for me to discuss.

These days, kids are always so eager to grow up and be considered an adult but they tend not to like all the physical, mental and even social changes that occurs during the long phase between childhood and adulthood.

Just to specify, generally an adolescent is considered to be a person between 13 and 18 years of age, which means that normally they're academic levels vary between grade 7 to first year of university. That is a giant time gap where a person can face so many challenges, go on countless amounts of adventures, overcome an abundance of obstacles and make memories that will last them a lifetime.

The priorities that fill up the brain of a teenager according to My teen life- The teenage brain

With this blog I am trying to make it the most relatable and helpful for my readers which means every post made in my blog will be an answer to a question asked by a reader. In order to give the best answer I'll be using my personal opinion, sharing some of my own experience and stories and using useful information that I've found online. I will always include the sites that I've found my information so that if you would like to do further research you'll have good resources.

With that being said, to make this blog a success I need the help of the readers. If you have any ideas for future topics or questions you would like advice for please don't be shy and leave a comment containing what you would like me to discuss. If you would rather stay anonymous feel free to email me at allib.blogs@gmail.com and I'll answer your question while keeping your identity unknown to the rest of the readers.

  1. Hey Allison! I love the way your blog looks! I really like the direction you're going with it; interacting with your readers is a great way to have them follow your blog. Will you be using scientific facts? I need some information to defy my parents! (I'm funny, I know). i honestly want to know what goes on in our brains that makes us so defiant (unless all of our parents simply poke and prod at us until we explode, which in that case, please research). Anyway, I can't wait to read your next post!

  2. Hi Allison! I really like your idea of using the readers’ questions in your posts.I have a quick question, If someone for example needed advice about a certain subject could they just email you through your school email if they don’t want to post a comment for everyone to see? Thank you and good luck writing :)

  3. For starters, I agree with Camelia and Natalie, your blog looks great! The background ties in well with all the craziness that is being a teen, trying to juggle your classes, after school activities and friends, among other things. I also personally really like your chosen topic because it's very relatable, since your audience is all teens... Oh and of course M. Noecker. I'm sure your advice will be very useful :)

    1. Thank you so much for your nice words Brianna, they mean a lot to me. I'm very glad you like the layout because it took me a long time to figure it out since I'm very terrible with anything involving electronics. I hope this blog can provide you with useful advice that you may need in the future!

  10. Hey Allison! It's looking great so far! I love the effects that you put on it to make it more appealing, and the media you have included. I love the idea you had about making a blog like this, that way you can answer everybody's questions! With that being said, it is very clear that I do not have that my face is not acne free. Is there anything I can do that won't cost me my whole bank account that will get rid of this stupid acne?????

  11. Hello Allison I see you are talking about school and well although nobody really likes the whole learning part I find we learn in so many different ways, homework being one of them I find that we will not fully understand something unless we can do it ourselves and I find homework is the opportunity for that do you find sometimes we may not need to do every question lets say in math if we understand what is happening or do you think repetition is the best way of learning thanks again for the great read!

  12. Ok so I'm a little late, but I was so impressed with how involved us readers were in your blog even before we said anything. Also, the topic is really easy and simple and a great topic overall to talk about. You mentioned a very moving and touchy subject which was bullying because I'm also doing a similar blog but it's about cyber bullying, so if you have any ideas, feel free to let me know (follow me on wannabelikerifaat@blogspot.ca).
